THURSDAY, AUG. 8: Member-led book discussion, “This Dark Road to Mercy” by Wiley Cash, 7 p.m. Newcomers to the monthly book club meetings are always welcome. No registration required. Books available for loan in advance.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 8: Book Sale, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in front of the library. A large selection of books for adults and children, plus movies, compact discs and audio books. Held in conjunction with the Police Explorers’ Car Show on Main Street and the Thomaston Woman’s Club Arts & Crafts Festival in Seth Thomas Park.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 19: “Woodstock: A 50th Anniversary Multimedia Celebration” with percussionist, storyteller, educator, author, music historian and radio host Craig Harris, 6:30 p.m. Registration requested.
