along with a craft and interaction
time.
Pick-up after school (JMS)
by a librarian is offered – bring a
permission slip to school. Parent

Eating Nutritiously with Jill Pat-
terson, RDN, via Zoom, Thurs-
day, Jan. 12, 6:30 p.m.
Join us for this informative and
engaging workshop where we will
learn strategies to slash our gro-
cery bill while eating nutritiously.
Get ready to feel energized with
healthy nutrient rich foods and

strategies, interactive game ques-
tions and recipe resources will be
included. As a registered dieti-
tian and nutrition expert, Jill also
brings her background of menu
planning on a budget for school
systems, consulting for grocery
store chains, and being a cost-con-
scious shopper herself.
Jill Patterson, RDN, is an
award-winning registered dieti-
tian nutritionist, certified personal
trainer and group fitness instruc-
tor. She has been quoted in the
Huffington Post, Parents Maga-
zine, and local news outlets. She
specializes in providing wellness
education programs that inspire
individuals to implement healthy

Join local author Julie Rumrill
at the Morris Public Library on
Jan. 18, 2023, 6:30 p.m., for an
inspirational talk about her high-
ly acclaimed memoir, “Finding
Mary.”
Julie will speak about memoir
writing, the difficulties of unre-
solved grief, and the triumph of
the human spirit. An open discus-
sion and a book signing will fol-
low her talk.
Julie Rumrill grew up in the
quiet corner of Thompson, Con-
necticut and currently lives near
the shore in West Haven. She is
a faculty member in the Depart-
ment of Earth Science at South-
ern Connecticut State University
and senior consultant for Team
Training Associates, LLC. She
holds an M.S. in geology, teach-
ing certifications in mindfulness
and yoga, and is currently work-
ing toward a doctorate in educa-
tion at the University of Hartford.
In addition to her academic life,
Julie leads mindful writing work-
shops for aspiring writers, and men-
tal resilience training for public
safety, NGOs and corporate orga-
nizations. When she is not writing,
teaching, or leading workshops, she
enjoys hiking, kayaking, reading,
rock collecting, and spending pre-
cious time with family.
